The inaugeral HOMAD 2007 saw the début of Merlot Mark Dartnell backing various (piss) artists in versions of Cap In Hand, Stay Free and Blind Willie McTell...until his fingers bled! Not to be deterred, MMD put down his axe and - channelling the spirit of Son House - gave us Grinnin' In Your Face...Other acapellas performed included Our Bill's Got A Concrete-Mixer, King Of Rome, Danny Boy, Gulf Coast Highway, Out On The Weekend, Streets Of New York...and many others...
Gerry Strummer backed others on King Of The Road (no prizes for guessing the artist!), Suspicious Minds (ditto) and Lone Star State Of Mind...and "reinvented" Teenage Kicks!
Rehearsals for next year are already in the planning stage (yet to be reality-tested!)...
